Putin announces ‘successful testing’ of nuclear-powered cruise missile

Russian president Vladimir Putin announced that Russia conducted the “last successful test” of the Burevestnik nuclear-powered cruise missile.

Earlier this week, The New York Times reported that Russia was likely preparing to test the missile or that it might have already tested it.

Putin did not clarify why this was the “last” test. It’s not clear whether this means the missile will soon be in service.
