Russian shipyards laid the keel of two Lada-class (Project 677) submarines, two project 03182R research vessels, one Alexandrit-class (Project 12700) minesweeper, and a Razumny class (project 20385) corvette last week.
The Admiralty Shipyards laid two diesel submarines of project 677 on Russia Day celebrated on June 12.
“The Vologda and the Yaroslavl diesel-electric submarines became the fourth and fifth vessels of the 677 project that are under construction at Admiralty Shipyards for the Russian Navy.”
The ceremony was attended by Nikolay Yevmenov, the commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy.
Another shipyard in St. Petersburg laid the Polyarny minesweeper of project 12700.
“The warship is high-tech, maneuverable, and highly capable. She is universal and can fulfill numerous missions.”
The Polyarny is the tenth minesweeper of project 12700 and the first one built for the Northern fleet.
Three more ships were laid on June 12: the Razumny corvette of project 20385 at Amur Shipyard, the Leonid Bekrenev and the Boris Bobkov research vessels of project 03182r at Zelenodolsk Shipyard.
