Elbit Systems of America to supply mortar systems to US Army

 Elbit Systems announced on September 12 that its U.S. subsidiary, Elbit Systems of America LLC, was awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract with a maximum potential value of up to approximately $49 million, to provide 120mm mortar systems for the U.S. Army.

The contract will be executed in Fort Worth, Texas, over a period of five years. An initial delivery order of approximately $10 million has been issued under this ID/IQ contract, to be executed over a two-year period (read hereunder).

On November 23, 2016, Elbit Systems announced that its U.S. subsidiary, Elbit Systems of America, was awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (‘ID/IQ’) contract for the production of mortar weapon systems. The contract, with a maximum value of up to approximately $103 million, will be performed over a five-year period. An initial purchase order, in an amount that is not material to the company, had already been awarded. Elbit Systems of America signed a Memorandum of Understanding (‘MOU’) with the United States Army’s Watervliet Arsenal (WVA), New York, which will effectively employ WVA as a subcontractor to Elbit Systems of America on many mortar components.
