United Nations destroy Armenian claims of civilian targeting in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh
United Nations(UN) destroyed the perception operation launched by Armenia after Azerbaijan’s anti-terrorist operation in Karabakh, claiming that Azerbaijan targeted civilians. The UN delegation to Karabakh announced that they did not find any evidence of violence against Armenian civilians and that they did not see any civilian infrastructure targeted in the region.

A new one has been added to Armenia’s false allegations. After Azerbaijan’s victory in Karabakh, the allegedlyArmenianregime’s genocide and targeting of civilians in the Karabakh region caused tensions to rise. In recent days, the allegedly Armenian regime had made provocations such as laying mines on the roads of the Azerbaijani army in the territories under its control. Azerbaijan’s response to these unlawful actions of Armenia was not delayed. The UN delegation traveled to Karabakh upon the invitation of the Azerbaijani government.
Stating that they were aware of the Azerbaijani government’s statement that it would respect the rights of minorities,United Nations Secretary-General spokesman Stephane Dujarric stated that the UN had not had access to the region for 30 years, so the delegation’s visit was important. In the statement made by the United Nations, it was reported that civilians and infrastructure facilities were not targeted in the anti-terrorist operation, only legitimate military targets were destroyed.
COUNTER TERRORISM OPERATION
On September 19, Azerbaijan announced the launch of a counter-terrorism operation following the actions of Armenian separatists in Karabakh. After 24 hours of operation, Armenian separatists reported that they laid down arms. With the disarmament of the separatists, the Azerbaijani flag was re-erected in many settlements occupied since 1994.
