US Navy Accepts 350th MH-60R Helicopter From Lockheed Martin

The US Navy has accepted its 350th MH‑60R Seahawk helicopter from Lockheed Martin’s Owego, New York facility, and delivered it to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM)-41.
HSM‑41 is responsible for training naval aviators and aircrew of the US Pacific Fleet to operate the Seahawk, the navy’s primary helicopter for anti-submarine (ASW) and anti-surface warfare since 2010.
Ali Ruwaih, Lockheed’s VP for Maritime Systems, described the delivery as “a testament to the exceptional capabilities of this aircraft and the dedication of our team.”
MH-60R Seahawk
The multi-mission MH-60R features an open architecture avionics suite, advanced sensors, electronic support measures, data links, and weapons, such as AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and MK 54 torpedoes.
It entered service with the US Navy in 2006. Recently, the chopper was used in engaging enemy drones in the Gulf of Aden and Houthi‑armed skiffs in the Red Sea as part of its maritime security patrol operations.
Manufactured by Lockheed Martin’s Sikorsky subsidiary, the MH-60R’s service life is projected to last until the 2050s.
In addition to Washington, the Seahawk is already operated by or on order by several allied countries, including Australia, India, Greece, and Spain.
