3 new localizations in the Turkish defence industry

With the studies carried out for advanced material technologies, 3 domestic products were developed to meet the needs of the Turkish defence industry.

Yunus Emre Deli, Nanografi Business Development Director, said that their biggest motivation in advanced material technologies is to produce imported substitute products.

Stating that they prevented imports by localizing the products used in the Turkish defense industry, Deli stated that they also added new products to the country’s export items.

Pointing out that one of the most important areas where such efforts are concentrated is advanced material technologies, Deli said, “We have localized some important coatings, especially used by our weapons industry.

First of all, our product with infrared (IR) camouflage feature, which is invisible in thermal cameras. This is in the defense industry, abroad. “It is one of the solutions frequently used in products that have proven their worth. We provide this to our defense industry and I can say that we position it as a product with export potential.” said.

Informing that infrared camouflage renders the surfaces covered with infrared cameras invisible, Deli said, “Therefore, your systems in the battlefields are camouflaged in systems with thermal and infrared search feature. Therefore, we offer a direct invisibility opportunity with this coating.” he said.
