Turkish, Argentine tech firms forge cooperation for unmanned helicopters

Critical parts of Cicare helicopters to be produced in Turkey in future

After pioneering Turkey’s first unmanned helicopter, the Alpin, Titra Teknoloji strengthened its presence in both civil aviation and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) by forging a strategic cooperation agreement with Cicare, one of the world’s leading helicopter companies.

Titra Technology, which operates in the fields of unmanned systems, healthcare technology, and smart cities, aims to sell Cicare helicopters to Turkey and other countries in the region, provide authorized service support, do joint production, and use these helicopters in Titra’s aviation projects.

Cicare, one of the best-established aviation companies of Argentina and Latin America with its more than 60 years of experience, aims to increase its market share in Turkey, the Central Asian Turkic republics, the Middle East, and North Africa thanks to its strategic cooperation with Titra and to enter new fields with the help of Titra’s experience.

Juan Cicare, Cicare’s CEO, said: “This cooperation with Titra will create new opportunities for both companies and countries.

“This agreement will be the beginning of a joint path of growth of both companies and the strengthening of their technologies, with the aim of producing important parts of our ultra-light aircraft in Turkey.”

Davut Yilmaz, Titra’s CEO, said: “We will be the distributor and authorized service center of Cicare helicopters and we will ensure that critical parts of these helicopters are produced locally in the future.”
