KAAN’s 2nd prototype will fly in 2025

Work has accelerated for the second prototype in the National Fighter Aircraft KAAN project. Haluk Görgün, President of Defence Industries, shared the factory images with the following statements: “KAAN is not just an aircraft; it is the symbol of our goal of fully independent Turkey in the sky.”

Haluk Görgün, President of Defence Industries, shared on his social media account that the national combat aircraft KAAN, one of the biggest projects of the national defence industry, is preparing to spread its wings in the sky with its new prototypes.

Stating that the assembly of more than 2,000 domestic and national parts is continuing at full speed at TAI facilities, Görgün said:

“We have examined the production and assembly activities of our second prototype, which will make its first flight at the end of 2025. Those who once mocked KAAN’s first prototype images have today fallen silent in the face of this great success. KAAN is not just an airplane; it is the determination of our nation, the labor of our engineers and the symbol of our goal of fully independent Turkey in the sky.”

Our sky is now stronger

Görgün stated that they have written success stories in every prototype in the Turkish defence industry, and that they have put the products into mass production and brought them to the Turkish Armed Forces, and added: “Our skies are now stronger, and our tomorrows are more hopeful. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who contributed to this blessed path.”
