Russia is delivering S-400 air defense missile systems to India in compliance with the schedule, Head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Dmitry Shugayev told TASS at the Army 2022 military-technical forum. “The delivery is being carried out in line with contractual obligations in compliance with the schedule agreed by the parties,” Shugayev said.
Earlier, the CEO of Russia’s Rosoboronexport state arms seller Alexander Mikheyev said that the company was successfully implementing a contract for the supply of S-400 air defense systems to India. All five regiments will be supplied by the end of 2023, he added.
India announced its plans to purchase Russian-made S-400 systems in 2015. The relevant contract worth 5.43 billion dollars for the delivery of five regiment sets was signed during a visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India in October 2018.
