Russia Replenishes Stockpiles With New and Refurbished Armored Vehicles and Artillery

Russia has resumed the process of mothballing and deploying new and refurbished armored vehicles at its storage bases.

This was reported by OSINT researcher Jompy.

Back in June, the researcher noted that at the 349th storage base, the return of refurbished tanks and infantry fighting vehicles was recorded.

This confirms that Russia is actively repairing, modernizing, and manufacturing a significant number of armored vehicles.

In particular, the 22nd storage base is being replenished with T-90M tanks, BTR-82A armored personnel carriers, BMP-3M infantry fighting vehicles, and armored recovery and evacuation vehicles.

This facility is just one of several identified arsenals where a systematic buildup of heavy weapons has been documented.

A similar process is taking place at Storage Base No. 80, which specializes primarily in 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled artillery systems.

At the 374th base near the Finnish border, the accumulation of new 2S43 Malva and 2S44 Hyacinth-K self-propelled artillery systems has been documented since 2025.

Active deliveries are also being tracked at the 6018th base, where BMP-3M infantry fighting vehicles and BMD-4M airborne combat vehicles are being deployed.

The appearance of BMP-2s and T-72B3Ms at the 349th base may indicate either the delivery of refurbished equipment from factories or the routine redeployment of existing resources from other arsenals.

The researcher emphasizes that we are currently talking specifically about long-term storage bases, not bases of active combat units, which also receive equipment.

The observed trends indicate a replenishment of Russia’s strategic reserves.
