New Polish WSP-110 UAV Tested in Ukraine
The Polish company TBI Technology unveiled the WSP-110 multipurpose UAV, which was tested in Ukraine under combat conditions.
A representative of TBI Technology told a Militarnyi correspondent about this at the MSPO exhibition.
The developers note that Ukraine and the Polish State Fire Service are currently interested in the platform.
“(The UAVs) were tested in Ukraine, and the guys said that yes, they perform their functions perfectly,” the representative noted.
In its basic configuration, the aircraft is equipped with a two-stroke gasoline engine manufactured in-house, which was developed based on feedback from Ukrainian operators.
The UAV presented at the MSPO exhibition can perform reconnaissance, patrol, and strike missions and can be used as a relay station.
The WSP-110 features a modular architecture and can be equipped with optical and thermal imaging systems, target detection systems, and equipment for creating 2D/3D terrain maps. The manufacturer also states that electronic warfare (EW) systems and high-precision weapons can be integrated. The empty weight of the WSP-110, including the battery, is approximately 45 kg, and its maximum takeoff weight is 110 kg.
The maximum speed in this configuration is stated as 210 km/h, with a cruising speed of approximately 90 km/h. The service ceiling is approximately 4,000 meters.
Separately, the manufacturer offers a variant with a turbojet engine. In this configuration, the maximum speed can reach 320 km/h, the cruising speed is 140 km/h, and the practical ceiling is about 9,000 meters.
The flight duration in patrol mode is stated as 8–12 hours, depending on weather conditions and the nature of the mission.
The UAV can take off and land using a wheeled landing gear. Additionally, the manufacturer states that it can be launched from a catapult and land using a parachute system.
The WSP-110 airframe is made of composite materials. The company claims that the design has reduced radar and thermal signature, but specific figures for effective radar cross-section or thermal signature are not provided.
A representative also noted that Ukraine is purchasing artillery sights manufactured by TBI Technology.
