Ukraine to get more German-made combat robots

ARX Robotics has confirmed a major order from Ukraine for its GEREON-series unmanned ground systems, a move that will establish what the company describes as “the world’s largest networked military robotics fleet.”
The announcement was made on November 18, 2025, from the company’s headquarters in Munich.
According to ARX Robotics, the contract includes the delivery of several hundred GEREON robotic units. These systems will be interconnected using the company’s Mithra OS software, enabling coordinated fleet operations and scalable mission deployment across military domains.
“This major order is a decisive vote of confidence and a clear mandate for scaling,” said Marc Wietfeld, co-founder and CEO of ARX Robotics. “With the expansion of the networked GEREON fleet, we are scaling a key capability with Ukraine and strengthening the German-Ukrainian partnership. At the same time, we are laying the foundation for a robust, locally anchored supply chain.”
The GEREON systems have been in service in Ukraine since early 2025. The new contract is the third expansion of the fleet and represents a major milestone in scaling ground-based unmanned operations.
The company says the GEREON platform is built around an integrated framework combining autonomy, sensors, and open interfaces. This foundation allows for synchronized control of multiple systems, improving reaction times, securing logistics flows, and increasing endurance in contested environments.
Production for the new systems will be split between Germany and Ukraine. ARX says it has established a manufacturing site in Ukraine, with local suppliers and partners simultaneously scaling their capacity to support the program.
In a statement, Igor Kornilov, CEO of ARX Ukraine, said, “Production in our Ukrainian facility and collaboration with local partners accelerates deployment to the armed forces and secures operational support. We are building capacity and expertise in Ukraine that will deliver value beyond this contract.”
The company describes the GEREON fleet as modular and designed for a range of operational missions, from logistics and reconnaissance to direct tactical support.
According to ARX Robotics, the new fleet-wide integration will help Ukrainian forces conduct coordinated operations in dynamic and complex terrain.
