US Air Force Releases Two New Images of Northrop Grumman’s B-21 Raider Strategic Bomber
The US Air Force released two new images of Northrop Grumman’s B-21 Raider in a hangar, and this strategic bomber is set to complete its first flight in 2023.
This aircraft will eventually replace the US Air Force’s 63 Rockwell B-1 strategic bombers by 2040 and 20 Northrop Grumman B-2 strategic bombers.
Technically speaking, all of the technology is classified, including its size, required stealth, structure, number / type of engines, projected weapons, and onboard sensors. There are a total of six B-21 Raiders in production and the US Air Force plans to build 100 that can deploy either nuclear weapons or conventional bombs, all of which can be piloted with or without a human crew.
