Finland approves €94 million military aid package for Ukraine

Replacing the defence assets contained in this package will reportedly cost Finland approximately €94 million.

The total value of all Finnish defence aid packages provided to Ukraine so far is about €1.3 billion.

The support of Finland and our allies to Ukraine remains unwavering. The core issue in terms of the future security order in Europe and in Finland is to be able to curb Russia’s aggression against Ukraine,” Finnish Defence Minister Antti Häkkinen said.

No further details regarding the contents of the package, its delivery method and its schedule are being provided for operational reasons and to ensure the safe arrival of the aid at its destination.

“Both Ukraine’s needs and the resources of the Defence Forces were taken into account when deciding on Finland’s additional assistance,” the statement reads.
